Location, location, location! | Monday Minute

Location, Location, Location.  And I’ll explain why.One of the most important factors in real estate is Location, especially when it comes to the value of a home.  The exact same home in one city may be drastically higher or lower in the next city.  But outside of price a home should fit your particular needs, so what are the factors that you should be considering determining the location of your next home? #1 Area and Neighborhoods.  First off, do you want to be in a neighborhood with all the amenities? Or would you prefer to be out in the middle of the woods with no neighbors in sight?  Or maybe in the city? Which of these best fits your lifestyle and your needs?#2 Schools.  For those with kids, you might be limited to certain areas if you have a preference to a particular school.  Depending on the school, it may be difficult to go to a school if outside their district.#3 Work.  How far of a commute are you willing to make?  And I should add in the DMV area, don’t forget to account for traffic depending on which way you are driving and at what time.  And when considering the potential traffic, do you need to be near other modes of transportation, like a subway or train?#4 Friends and Family.  The further away, the less you may want to get in the car and make the trip.  So if being near friends and family is important, make sure to keep that in consideration.#5 Church, Hobbies, and the Grocery store.  Just like friends and family, consider what other activities you are into.  And yes, if it's important to you, even consider the relation to certain things like how close you are to a grocery store. When considering these factors, you will be able to ultimately find the best location that fits into your lifestyle.  If you have any questions about the home buying process, give us a call.  We look forward to hearing from you!
