Patriotism and Property: Embracing Change in November

November has always held a special place in my heart. It kicks off with my birthday and culminates in the delicious, coma-inducing feast of Thanksgiving! This year, we also welcome a new presidential administration, creating a lot of excitement and anxiety. Historically, a change in leadership tends to invigorate the real estate market. Since 1980, we’ve observed a slowdown leading up to elections, followed by a significant surge post-results—regardless of party.

We’ve already seen signs of this trend in October, with market activity slowing, particularly in the last two weeks. Many buyers are understandably hesitant, influenced by the election's uncertainty. While we all have our preferences, it’s worth remembering that our system of checks and balances was designed to protect the American people through any transition.

My Predictions:

  1. Home sales are likely to pick up after the election, a trend we've seen consistently over the past four decades. If you've been considering selling, now may be a great time.

  2. Interest rates should decrease. Although we anticipated a drop heading into September, stronger-than-expected job reports delayed that. However, both candidates are committed to tackling inflation, which could positively impact interest rates.  Additionally, we know there are more scheduled interest rate drops this year and next!

As an American patriot, I love our country, but I have always had a healthy distrust of our government - though mostly the people in charge.  But I wanted to share with everyone here that this past month, I have seen our governmental system at work and have seen how even with a government filled with people we can't trust, we have a system of checks and balances that can overrule those placed in power.  On October 22, 2024, I was acquitted of 5 false charges by a jury of my peers.  12 jurors, from all parts of Maryland, saw through the false accusations and blatant lies of the DOJ and ATF.  I am forever grateful to their service.  I am reinvigorated in my patriotism towards our great country.  And, I am forever grateful to an almighty God, who is greater than any governmental agency.

I'll be telling a lot more about this soon.  But if you're curious about the a basic overview check out: https://www.fredericknewspost.com/news/continuing_coverage/machine_gun_trial/updated-robert-krop-owner-of-the-machine-gun-nest-acquitted-on-all-counts/article_e087f28e-1c6a-5a12-99d7-92c3869ebad9.html
